Dear parents / carers,
On Monday 24th March, we will be celebrating World Maths Day.
Tuck Shop
During the day, the tuck shop will be open and run by groups of Year 6 children supervised by Miss Marsh and Mrs Stephens.
This will give the children an idea of visiting a real life 'shop' and using money in a context. If your child wishes to visit the tuck shop on this day, please send them in with no more than £2 in mixed coins (so that children can identify the different coins as they pay) and no notes. It will need to be in a labelled purse/wallet or envelope.
Activities
There are a range of activities that children will be completing in the afternoon, including some practical and outdoor cross curricular activities.
Pictures
If you have any pictures of your child completing maths in real life / real world, such as baking, time keeping, adding up money/values etc. it would be great if you could send a copy in so that we could share them with all classes and make a display of them in school.
